I have been playing the piano for as long as I can remember and I still love it!
As a teenager I won a place at a specialist music school and then trained with some of the most amazing piano teachers in the UK at the Royal College of Music in London. I have played professionally in a piano trio, for a ballet company, played recitals and concertos all over the UK and abroad alongside being a dedicated teacher and performance coach.
I love the psychology of performing music and helping students to enjoy performing more. Playing music in public can bring out so many fears, but where would the world be without music. It is my mission to unlock all the gorgeous creativity inside and inspire my students to share it with the people around them!
I have also written loads of music and am a published composer.
Playing the piano is such a special thing - it is a real mix of physical control, brain power and knowledge, with a splash of that special something, your unique spirit infused into the music you play.
I have written this course for adults starting out on their musical journeys.
I got bored with the “printed piano tutors” in the market and realised that adults need a more mature approach and want to be able to play hands-together from the beginning, making magical sounds with the pedal and learning about chords and improvisation.
So, I devised a course which included all these things without sacrificing a really sound musical education.
